The Most Beautiful Place on Earth by Elke Groen starts in Austrian cinemas on 11th September. The film would have had its premiere at this year`s DIAGONALE`20 as the opening film of the festival. Due to Corona crisis, the festival had to be canceled. This extraordinary documentary is a portrait of Norbert Hofer, the rightwing FPÖ leaders hometown and its changes over several years. It is a multi-layered picture of a microcosm that has been divided by populism and yet has never given up its longing for social cohesion.
