SYNOPSIS

Since his Breakdown four years ago the young Argentinean piano virtuoso and composer Martín,  has been a patient of El Borda, the largest and most notable but also controversial psychiatric hospital in Latin America. The former child prodigy and promising talent of his generation is now trying to find a way to overcome his mental disease and come back to life outside the walls of the asylum and on the concert stages, while working on his new composition Enfermaria. Solo tells the unique, yet universal story about obsession with perfection and creation, narrating the evolution of a human being who draws his strength from his own fragility.

»A documentary with rhythm and modalities of fictional cinema that contemplates about the inevitable dichotomy between art and life«   QUINLAN

»One, Solo, yet (increasingly) universal, a mirror of the uncertainties of the world, of the difficulties of every mind, of the delicate and fragile delicacy of every human being.« –CINELAPSUS

»The film has the potential to challenge people’s stances and get them to consider an unconditional basic income!« – KLAUS KOFLER, FUTUROLOGIST
